Edward J. Parsons Moricete

Born in Dominican Republic and immigrated to New York City at the age of 4, I grew up with the belief of the American Dream. I was taught that my education was my only priority, and it was something that I took extremely seriously. With grand dreams of becoming an astronaut, an engineer, or an architect, unable to do any of them (yet) due to the obstacles many of my generation has faced with job opportunities and student debt, I struggled with my own identity & what exactly I wanted to do in life. I’ve dedicated years in architectural history, in the French language, East Asian history, performance & theater, astrophysics, and now interior design, but I’ve noticed that graphic design was what tied all of them together. I would use design in whatever field I worked in to facilitate certain obstacles or problem solve, and as I started to bring it all together in one place - this website, it made me realize that this wide arrange of interests is actually my identity. The sky is the limit, and there’s so much more to learn & so many hobbies I’ve yet to discover that I’ll eventually fall in love with, and with each one I’ll find a way to incorporate design into them. Like the universe, this site is ever-expanding & constantly evolving. Composed of interests in several fields, all combined into one package.
